About the Role
Our client is a mission-driven biotech startup building AI and LLM-powered solutions in the health domain. They are looking for an experienced Back-End Engineer to design and scale the infrastructure behind production-grade AI systems.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance back-end systems for AI/LLM solutions
- Develop APIs, microservices, and data pipelines for model deployment
- Collaborate with researchers and data scientists to productionize experimental models
- Implement monitoring, logging, and versioning
- Ensure security, privacy, and compliance for sensitive health data
Requirements
- 5+ years of back-end engineering experience
- Strong experience with Python/FastAPI or Node.js/Express
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
- Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases and large-scale data pipelines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLM integration, model serving, or vector databases
- Research-oriented, experimental mindset
