Senior Backend Infrastructure Engineer

Location – US or Canada Remote, Full Time, Direct employment.

We are hiring for one of our fast-growing AI and Data Platform client.

We’re looking for an engineer who loves building large-scale backend systems that handle massive amounts of data with speed and reliability.

What You’ll Build

• Design and scale distributed backend systems.
• Build event-driven and data streaming services.
• Improve system performance, latency, and reliability.
• Work on multi-cloud infrastructure.
• Solve complex customer scaling challenges.
• Own projects from design to production.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems design.
• Experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
• Experience building event collection or data streaming platforms.
• Experience handling high-volume data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of system performance and scalability.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Background

• Worked in high-growth startups or fast-scaling companies.
• Built systems processing terabytes of data.
• Experience with infrastructure technologies like Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
• Proven ownership of products from start to finish.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong academic background is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience mentoring engineers.
